Scouts Canada’s vision has always been to make sure every youth has the opportunity to take part in exciting outdoor adventures. We want to make sure these activities take place once a month, and that all youth can participate in our amazing summer camp programs.

But what barriers exist that prevent young people from getting the most out of the Scouting experience? And most importantly… what can we do to make that vision happen?

One of the keys to recruitment and retention of members is exciting and challenging outdoor experiences. We know we have extensive resources at camps, but not every group is able to take part. As part of the Scouting Now Action Plan, we want to make our Scout camps and properties easier to use. This is our first step: we’re asking for your valuable feedback to help shape our new direction. Every leader in Canada is invited to participate to help us learn what kinds of activities you have available now, what you’d like to offer in the future, and how we can make this process easier for you.
